Harry Potter ... Less than a month!

Its 23rd already and there's barely a month left.
Its so near!!
Lord V is going down.
And I'll probably have college that day but I'm so skipping!
Book Seven just comes once in years~!

I've also been reading fanfictions, lampoons and parodies. Especially of the movies...They frikkin leave so much out in the movies! Especially Marauders, Dobby. And in this movie, all the Quidditch and Mundungus...CRAZY! Recently I found this parody by Opungo called Deleted scenes from Harry Potter. Its hillarious, and one goes like this..(this is for those who have seen the movies too!) :

Ron: (poking his head in to the compartment) Excuse me, do you mind? Everywhere else is full.
Harry: Not at all. (Ron sits down)
Ron: I’m Ron, by the way. Ron Weasley.
Harry: I’m…I’m…er…I’m…Henry! Henry Portings! Wait, no, that’s not it…aw, DAMN IT! I forgot my lines again!

Hagrid: Yer a wizard, Harry.
Harry: I’m a what?
Hagrid: No, WIZARD. W-I-Z-A-R-D! Blimey yer stupid.

(This was awesome!)

The other one I found very funny was a total parody of the second movie called Harry Potter and the Plumbing of Doom (isn't the title ...???) by Darth Maligna.
One moment in it goes something like this...

"...they arrive back at the Burrow. Inside, Harry watches as Fred, George, and Ron’s hands on the clock move from “lost” to “home”. He vaguely wonders where everyone else is since their hands are not at home.

RON: It’s not much, but it’s home.
HARRY: It’s brilliant. Then again, anything’s brilliant compared to behind bars or in the closet.
RON, FRED, AND GEORGE: You were in those places, too?
HARRY: Erm."

You gotta read it to believe it!

More Icons...sheesh!

Time for more Icons.

One of them is a request for Elijah Wood done by Joy.

The rest are my wonderful Potter attempts. Ron, Neville and my favourite Percy (who might be my alter ego, who knows!).

I'm thinking the bad boys should be next...I've already done Riddle...The Lord now....?? And my favourite Death Eater, apart from that nasty Bella, Lucius should be done.

Just because he's rich, smirks, illtreats and pushes his weight around.

Nothing to do with his Malfoy Manor, his Snake cane and long blonde-wig and the fact that he has that sneering Slytherin as his son who I might jump.

Nothing at all.

Just a few more icons.
First is Emma Watson. Looking pretty as usual.
Second is Zodiac Leo. For I have a few friends with similar tendencies.
Thirs is the high and mighty Tom Riddle aka Christian Coulson, looking as charming as evil can be.
Be free to take them and request more. Just comment while taking and if you use, please credit.
Thanks.

Silos Open Requests

Ya, Really!!
I waste my time doing nothing, as I've written. Then I thought why not waste it for others??
Hey, thats not bad...
So this is what I cam up with.
I'm taking requests for Icon making. Will make decent, medium quality icons related to familiar fields.
Otherwise, if you copy my icons just tell which ones you like and not.
By the way, I'm interested in Heroes, Lost, Harry Potter and fanart, Zodiacs.
Drop a line.

Silos attempts haiku on request

These are more Haikus, but dealing with physical love and pain. I like Levertov's Ache, as I've said and this is just an attempt at something like that, just in terms of image and feeling.
[Icon be me]

He entered her as she cried his name.
The lace fell off her body,
As he tore her patience.

He entered her as she dripped blood.
She screamed in pain and agony.
They ceased to be.

Silos attempts icons

Because I am not doing anything constructive with my time,
Beacuse I am pointless,
Because there is a madness and there is a method in it.
Just Because.

Silos attempts haiku-s

I dont know how to define what I have composed. Is it a haiku? Is it a moku? Is it pseudo haiku? Is it a new form of fiction? Beneath are two of my early attempts. What I admire about haiku is what I found interesting about Hughes. Intense emotion condensed into minute lines...
Admirable. (my attempts may not be...)

The cockroach squeals.
Other species are terrified.
It sticks to my slippers.

The CD player stops.
The UPS turns on.
The banes of living in a city.

Consider...

Isn't it wonderful that someone is capable of condensing all our emotions in a few lines...

Suicide's Note

The calm,
Cool face of the river
Asked me for a kiss.

His poetry is not only simple and easy to read but just touches so many chords and pangs; he talks about inequality, pain, racism but in the end it all boils down to being one(being American is what he stresses).

Another poem I loved was Theme for English B. A part of it goes like this..

Being me, it will not be white.
But it will be
a part of you, instructor.
You are white--
yet a part of me, as I am a part of you.
That's American.
Sometimes perhaps you don't want to be a part of me.
Nor do I often want to be a part of you.
But we are, that's true!
As I learn from you,
I guess you learn from me--
although you're older--and white--
and somewhat more free.

This is my page for English B.

Somewhat more free..we all are trapped in that paradigm, aren't we?
Hughes also wrote a series of Madam poems. Madam and her madam, Madam and her phone bill, etc. They are about the African-American woman living in the city on her own terms, but facing the inequality.

Hughes : tempting and impassable. A must read.

American Poet - One

Our Post Graduate course has poems by Densie Levertov. Woman poet, writing against the Vietnam war, writing erotic poetry...One cannot dislike her.
The one i liked was one called the "The Ache of Marriage"

The ache of marriage:
thigh and tongue, beloved,
are heavy with it,
it throbs in the teeth

We look for communion
and are turned away, beloved,
each and each

It is leviathan and we
in its belly
looking for joy, some joy
not to be known outside it

two by two in the ark of
the ache of it.

The best way to admire such a poet, i believe, is not to study or analyze him/her but to enjoy. What i loved about this poem was the rich passion and how the climax and the anti-climax are the same. The realization and futility of that love or sex are recognized in this ache. (~have begun theorizing..~)

...one becomes,
sometimes, a pair of eyes walking.
Walking wherever looking takes one...

(From Looking, Walking, Being)

To be continued...
Next American poet : Langston Hughes
